Artist Statement:
I have a very strong urge to be continually creating, something I have been doing since a very young age. Initially using Charcoal and Oil Painting as my preferred medium I began to expand in the photographic world and made the switch to producing solely photographic art in 2009.
With a passion for producing abstract and illustrative imagery, I like to encourage a sense of peace and wonder. My progressive series “EBB & FLOW” is created by photographing water in abstract form to represent life, motion and nature.
While my influences and inspirations are mostly drawn subconsciously from what is happening around me in the present time, some of my work comes from my darker side and my curiosity of the unknown. There is a connection of fluidity through my images, I am drawn in by the physical property of the material that enables it to flow and lead me into taking something abstract and making it concrete.
